The color palette was taken from the client’s Talavera pottery collection featured throughout. This exterior “room” now supports intimate settings or large groups; a place that is easily maintained; a place to go to be alone; a place with a wild, untamed feel.
Being one with nature prevailed throughout this project. Native plantings (xeriscaping) ensure plantings thrive with little effort. A butterfly garden surrounds the private hammock swinging behind the sound of the fountains behind. An aviary flanks one end of the waterproofed Pergola that serves as a spot for morning coffee and evening dinners. Birds, cats, dogs, fireflies, and butterflies live in harmony in this urban retreat.
