Located in a parking lot on the VA Puget Sound Campus, in Seattle, the Fisher House VA Puget Sound Healing Garden represents a dramatic transformation of a suburban landscape into a welcoming outdoor respite for families staying at the House while their veteran receives medical care and treatment. Created in two phases as part of a University of Washington Department of Landscape Architecture student design build studio, the garden is a highly revered part of the Fisher House. It was the winner of the 2013 ASLA Student Community Service Award.
